Intro to Ireland + Links Page
Updated: Aug 28, 2019

I’m sitting on a crowded plane 35,000 feet in the air on my way back to Arizona from Ireland. This time last year, I had no idea I’d be traveling internationally, let alone to Ireland. Even in the beginning of the year I had this wish to go to this enchanted country and had no idea how it would happen. And here I am, on my way home from two adventure packed weeks on the Emerald Isle, with so much learned, experienced, and integrated into my life. Two weeks in another country feels like going to another world for months - especially with everything we did in each day. Austin and I got married last summer and never took a honeymoon, so we were excited at the opportunity to take two weeks for just the two of us and explore without limits. We rented a car and drove over 2500 kilometers around Ireland in that time, as well as walked 84 miles on numerous hiking trails and small villages. Also, in those two weeks we found ourselves high in the sky in a mini-helicopter, climbing to the top of one of the many mountains in Southern Ireland, bathing in hot sea water seeping with fresh seaweed, and the list goes on!
Join me on an Adventure Across Ireland here as I share what we did on a day to day basis during our honeymoon here. None of what I share in my posts is sponsored, however I share it to share my stories and experiences while abroad, hoping to inspire you to take a leap and travel somewhere you’ve always wanted to go! These posts will be helpful too if you’re traveling to Ireland for the first time and have no idea what to expect!
This intro page will serve as a Table of Contents for the trip. Click on each day below! Each blog post will share what we did, where we stayed, and what we found to eat. Posts that are not for each individual day will serve as guides for information about transportation, food and eating, finding accommodations, finding things to do, and other travel site information. I’ll even share some of my personal journal entries from the trip, little ponderings from my mind about my personal life. Enjoy!
