A Year Against the Rain
Living Rustically Off Grid on the Oregon Coast, 2016-2017
After living on public land for 30 days we decided we needed somewhere to rest for awhile; living crammed in a car was getting annoying! We randomly decided the Oregon Coast was the place for us and spent two months sharing a rental on the beach before deciding it was time to find our own space. Synchronicity happened and we met a lady who had a rustic cabin for rent, but it needed work.
Below is the process of fixing the cabin, and starting a small food forest on a piece of sandy land near Newport, Oregon. The full story of this time in our lives I shared in my book "A Year Against the Rain" :)
